The one year anniversary with my type R

First off... my favorite number.


Over the past 365 days I have driven my ITR ~23,500 miles and have been to 4 track events (one at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, 2 at VIR Long, 1 at VIR North).

I have gotten as high as 34 mpg (413 miles on that tank) and a low as 9 mpg (on track).

First oil change at ~2,400 miles
Tested rev-limiter at ~4,250 miles

Oil changes:
8 changes = ~2,900 miles between changes
Transmission fluid changes:
5 changes = ~4,700 miles between changes

Tires:
First set lasted 15,330 miles
Second set (RE010’s) will die next weekend at VIR (~24,500 miles total)
Third set will be Falken Azenis (205/50/15)

-4 into 1 header
-hanger for said header
-heat shield for said header

-Autozone front brake rotors
-Hawk Blue brake pads
-ATE super Blue brake fluid
-antenna switch (to lower antenna when a CD is playing)
-removal of power door locks using RS door pieces
-use of a sunroof switch to operate the power door locks
-80% install of cruise control off of a GSR

Happy Birthday to PY ITR 154 Mine is next month

 

I almost made it to my two year anniversary. I got mine in April of 00

 

I had mine for a year last week, 12500 miles. 4 oil changes, first change at 3100 miles, first touch o VTEC(just barely)at around 200 miles, first redline at 960 miles after dealer told me I baby the car too much. Tires still really good cond., avg. of 240 miles to 9 gallons of gas, no burnouts, no chirping, never hit revlimiter. Only abuse was a couple of harsh downshifts and a near mishift(dumped the clutch before redline). Emblems were recently jacked. Car bone stock. Hope my R is in good health.

 

Dude.. you're begining to worry me.. Let me know ahead of time so I can leave the house.
