Default Help Needed - Type R Articles

I am currently designing a website in the UK for the Honda Type R

Including the Civic - Integra and Accord.

As America has alot of hondas, i was wandering if you could help me out.
I am looking for articles on tuning and styling for these cars.

I was also wandering, what is the besy modification that you have done to your car, and why did you do it ?
If you have any good photos it would be great too.

you can post here or mail them to me if you like, - typer@illusion-motorsport.com

thanks
it is good to see an informative forum

thanks
Paul

My links are great info for stock R's but if you are looking to list some of the better mods then just use the search function and read to your hearts content.

You will find however that there is no 1 best anything when it comes to mods and especially for the ITR. There are many stages of tuning and prep for each individual owner. Here in the states Modding an import and especially Honda's/Acura's is not only Big business and Big stuff but also very personal.

The R is just a little different than most imports in that it is a more pure purpose built car,"Race inspired" is not it's billing "like so many other cars," It actually is a Race car right from the start. Kinda neat sayin that. I own a race car. But, to fully appreciate it like I learned so recently to, you really should RACE it at an event, Auto-X, Road Course!

Most Mods that make serious differences are pioneered in the true race field. There are a good number of serious companies that are held in high regard for their race proven aftermarket parts: Mugen, Spoon, Comptech, Hitech, Toda, SMS, ARC, AEM, JUN, Tein, Zeal, Recaro, Bride, Volk" Makin," Sabelt, OEM/JDM, Koni, Eibach, Advan, Yokohama, Falken, Endless, OMP, And the list could go on and on.

These above listed are some of the best that the JDM, USDM, and the world has to offer for import tuning and specific mods for the Interga Type-R.

So if you just ask whats the best mod you'll tend to get alot of opinions as to which Little Johhny might like better than Little Jimmy. The point to best mods is a moot one.

Just check around and see what everyone seems to speak highly of then cross reference with searches and maybe ask a few questions on a few posts to get some constructive opinions and some education.

Good luck, This is quite an undertaking you are assuming, let us know how it goes.

A.

PS My R is modded and you may ask what you like. But, there are at least a half dozen different companies I could have chosen differently before I made my final purchases.

Here are a bunch of old articles. I don't know what you mean by 'styling'. Apart from a JDM front and perhaps an OEM body kit, styling modifications on this car are frowned upon in the US.

somebody answer me this: in this article
http://www.honda.org.uk/honda_integr...ic_type_r.html

the ITR is quoted at 6.7 seconds to 60 while the CTR only takes 5.7. This can't be correct can it?

Would have to be a typo. Cars are almost the same weight in the UK and have almost identical power levels. A difference of a second would be enormous.
