i'm looking at a greddy catback system that i friend has. his is on a 96 ex 2dr and i have a 98 ex 4dr. from what i've read, they should be an exact fit, but i'd like to hear more proof from people before i buy it. thx.

2dr and 4dr exhaust is the same. Only the HB exhaust is different. My greddy off my 98 4dr LX fits perfect on my friends 98 2dr EX.

And how does that help him?

jeffk182 is absolutely correct. The EJ8 sedan and coupe are the exact same length and share the exact same wheelbase. Whoever tells you otherwise is unbelieveably wrong. And I'm ashamed that companies like Comptech perpetuate this rumor. They told me their cat-back wouldn't fit my sedan because the rear bumper is longer than the coupe's, which would make the tip not exit correctly. They still make good products, but c'mon now ... a simple look in something like a Helms manual shows they share the same dimensions! I have even swapped rear bumpers with an EM1, so I know what they said is utter bullshit.

Sorry for the rant, but yes, the "EK" coupe and sedan exhausts are swappable.
