opinions on VAFCII..
anyone using this on their H22's?
Please do not post comments about Hondata. Hondata did'nt like my setup for some reason and I need to tune my A/F. I'm just looking for some first hand experience with the VAFCII.
thanks,
Tom

The reason it didn't like it is because your tuner did not know what he was doing.

Agreed with the gentlemen who already responded to your question. And to add further, i believe there is a pretty big thread to which we debated if the vafc would really be worth it or not. Our end result was; Yes you can tune out your A/F, In terms of lowering the vtec setting, it will not net you anything. You are basically engaging the high lobe early, and the timing changes are not made by the ecu until the factory crossover RPM is met, thus, your car wont pull till it hits factory, it will just sound like its in vtec.
VAFCII is basically a VAFC that was designed to work with the k-series engines. It can hold more than one setting but that's about the only advantage you'll have over a regular VAFC.
I have ran the vafc2 for about 3 months and used it with my 100 shot. Now that my car is down till the spring, i'm considering going away from it to the hondata. But all in all it has served well and i may keep it, it just depends on what my final hp numbers are gonna be.
