I need some help H-T i just swapped a gsr motor w/ a b16 trans into my 94 teg..Now it wont go into gear..I put a brand new slave and master into it...the car shifts fine when its off, but as soon as i start it up, it jumps forward...


????????help guys

Sounds like a bad clutch!

ok so i dropped the trans and found that 3 of the teeth on the pressure plate were pushed in, thats why it wasnt going into gear...

my question for you guys is can i just bend those teeth back, or do i have to get a new p/p?

Buy a new pressure plate, inspect the disc, and replace the release bearing (make sure you pack it full of grease)

 

once the teeth(diaphrams) have bent once they will bend again so purchase a new one

 

yah ive been talking to David at ACT, he to send it back..And there goin to replace that diaphram which is cool b/c its still under warrenty..
