My Idle Catastrophy Story. Pics. Info. Detailed
My car is just fubar'd. I swap in a sohc zc non vtec into an 88 Si.
Car starts, idle jumps to 2500 cold and works it way down to about 1200rpm. I wait until the fan comes on and by then the rpms have already started bouncing between 800-1700rpm.
I unplug the IACV pictured here.

The idle then stops "bouncing" and holds steady at 1400 or so, and the exhaust is now making a rapdi bump bump bump bump, sounds like a techno song.
I turn the idle screw as hard as I could all the way into the right, idle seems to quite a bit but still 1400 rpm.
Car off, plug in IACV, reset ecu, car back on. Idles ***** high at a steady 1400 rpm with no bouncing or singing.
I then start to look for the FITV that everyone says to screw in and works its way out. BUT I DONT HAVE ONE!

Alright.
I then try and look for this second hole inside the throttle body above, I find one. I plug it with finger, engine almost died so I pulled out, felt around for a bit, no second hole, that explains not having the FITV.
I also found when I just changed my ecu to a pg7 that this ****** was not plugged in somewhere but there is nothing I can see around it to plug it into.

Its located right above the ecu, dead middle.
Now I am having some electrical problems as my battery isnt charging but I think its just a **** Optima battery so Im leaving as soon as my mom comes home from work to buy a cheapy. So hopefully the PG7 may help something and I may have some help form you guys.
I am poor, so cheap is good.
Heres an overview of the engine, dont mind the ghetto duct tape on the intake nor the zex nitrous at the back

THANKS

This intake mani came with the motor so Im assuming its the jdm sohc zc stock one.
This sensor your talking about, IACV? TPS? Those are both there
Apparently my battery is fine though I just got it tested at AutoZone.

Yes its a jdm sohc zc non vtec
Im using a pg7 because they are commonly used for the engine, run richer and have a higher redline and there cheap.
All the problems I just spoke about are with the PM6 oem ecu, I just changed it but now I have to figure out an electrical problem first. Which I also have no idea about

Those were checked 2 hours ago, used starter fluid and went to town, checked to make sure they were all routed correct. No problems there
I just need this dam idle to drop 600-700 rpm and not be a bitch and bounce all over the place

Have you tried taking the EACV out and cleaning it??
That **** sometimes get stuck, it happend to me before.
The first pic was your EACV not IACV.

That explains it right there.... That hole runs to your IACV, the IACV acts as a "controlled" vacuum leak to control your idle.
try this, unplug your IACV, plug the hole with your finger. If you can make your engine stall out by plugging that hole then you need to adjust your idle screw out. (actually when you unplug your IACV it should do the same thing as plugging this hole up) When you plug it (with your finger), it should drop your idle to about 500rpms.
Un bolt your IACV from the manifold and shoot some carb cleaner in it. I would fill it with carb cleaner and let it set there for about 10 min (out of the car ofcourse). Then drain it out and shoot some more carb cleaner in it to clear out any left over debris.
Bolt it back on and see if that fix's your problem, if it doesn't you have a bad IACV. Go get a new one or pick one up from a junk yard.
That should work.

i don't know if this will work for you but it works for my b series. bleed your coolent system. if you have air stuck in there the temp. switch makes the ECU go crazy. But what do i know......hope it helps

that is a possibility, but its really a remote one
cracked intake manifold perhaps?

the only help i cant give you is to stop using the word Fubar'd

EACV = IACV
88-91 known as IACV, 92+ EACV, same thing.
ok... go look on the back of the IM for a small sensor w/ a 1/2" vac tube running to it. 88 cars didnt have that valve, and it might be causing your vac leak. take the tube off where it connects to the intake manifold (connects near the iacv) and plug it and the hole it will leave on the IM.
I think you should put your d16a6 88 si intake manifold back on there.
