Default Under car exhaust ??

Well my 3 inch exhaust system is on the floor in my garage... I took it out of my car to do some adjustements cuz he was hitting at some place and it was making me crazy...

After all I saw that were not right, I realized that I dont have all the material to do all I would need to do...

I would like to try something ...so tell me what you think about it...

I would like to get my exhaust exit under my car just before the fuel tank where is the first angle in the exhaust system... ( yeah im lazy and dont want to spend $$ to get it done at the shop ) the car is a ( Civic 1995 EJ coupe ).

So there would be like

1-my 2.5 inch DP...

2- +- 24 inch of straight 3 inch SS tubing

3-my 3 inch, 24 inch long resonator

4-a kind of angle tip or anything to get the backfire to the ground not on the tank loll

Anybody know if it would be A LOT louder than my old straight 3 inch with a 3 inch Magnaflow muffler at the end ?? IMO the only difference would be the straightness and the overall lenght of the exhaust. The resonator is also longer than my Magnaflow muffler...

Thanks I hope to get your opinion

Mat !

A resonator will be a lot louder than a muffler.

I have actually seen this done before, and I am considering doing it. I have seen a dynomax 3" bullet racing muffler from summit for about $35 which I might put there with the turn down. I think there is about 6 feet to work with between the end of your downpipe and where it turns, so if sound was a really big issue, you could always weld on a muffler. I dont want to spend the money either, the muffler shops charge $300 for crush bent mild steel.

With the 3" bullet muffler, it's loud as hell. I've got a 3" DP, 3" dynomax bullet muffler, and 3" magnaflow oval. Sounds great...but it was loud as hell when I was rolling with just the dynomax.

I have my exhaust setup this way and it is LOUD. I mean vibrate the deep insides of your ears loud. Don't bother talking to the passenger I am running 3'' DP to a Dynomax 3" straight through muffler. Total exhaust lenth is probrably less than 3 feet and exits directly under my car via a 3'' turndown. Granted my cars interior is stripped but I think it would be loud regardless if the interior was intact or not.
