98+ Bumper: License Plate ?
I bought a 98+ bumper and replaced my 96 bumper and was wondering if there was a part that is supposed to come with it to hold the license plate (something to screw the license plate into)
if anyone could tell me the part number or something.. that'd be helpful

I'll assume you're talking about the front bumper since the rear is pretty straight forward if you know how to put bolts in holes. The front on the 98 should have two holes for the bolts on top and the bottom is fastened via a black bar that extends from the opening in the center of the bumper. I forget what it's attached to... maybe the radiator frame or something like that. Chances are this is what you're missing right? It's not attached to the bumper physically so I guess who ever sold you the bumper didn't bother giving it to you or forgot to. In a ny case, you can get one from the junk yard easily or if you tighten the top bolts enough you won't really need the bottom.

hey jay, there are two metal clips that are supposed to slide and cover the license plate holes. imagine a metal bracket surrounding the hole...

I got the same thing when I bought a 98+ rear bumper. Appearently its from a Japanese integra. I just hacked together some mount points in the rear bumper support to screw the plate into.

anyone else have a 98+ japanese rear bumper??? and what'd u do to fix this problem?
cuz i guess it's a japanese version bumper.. so it doesn't have the mounts where i can screw my license plate... do the japanese ones come with anything in order to do so? or do i gotta ghetto-rig/customize it to work...?

looks like you gotta customize it bro. there's big *** piece missin from yours compared to my pic. shouldn't be to hard to rig up something simple.
i suggest finding some thing metal strip to create the horizontal mounting holes. use two small screws on each side to hold the strap in. line up the plate, drill the holes... hope that helps, goodluck...
