Goodbye to you all!!
AKA TEGFREAK AKA ITR1162.
Well sold the R 2 weeks ago. Nope I dont miss it, maybe just a little. Got a new toy.
I just dont want to be associated with the import scene anymore. It has gotten very annoying with everyone and their mama's hooking up these cars and the crap that goes along with owning one of these cars. Too many kids, it isnt like it used to be.
So anyways got myself involved in a whole new world of sportbikes and got myself a GSX1300RBusa, fastest production bike in the world. Now I can do 9 sec 1/4 miles with no problems..hehehe
Well, it was good while it lasted. Drive safe and be good...
Peace!

Good luck to you TEGFREAK. Thanks for backing me up WAY back when on this site.
YOU WILL be back IMO. Maybe not in an ITR, but another Honda (car). LOL.
Bikes are dangerous. Be careful. Well, just be a defensive driver.

I feel the same way, the whole "import" thing isnt like it was. I sucks, everytime i tell someone i drive an Integra, they give me the look like; oh your one of those guys. Dumb kids ruin it for everyone. Oh well ive tried to get out of it before and bought a big SUV, which was boring. But i know if i sold the ITR i would miss it
Same here with the import scene...I am trying to leave it myself (sounds like a bad addiction)...anyone looking for a Used 00ITR with 25,000miles send me an email ( cycldav@aol.com ) Selling for $22K but negotiable.

Well in NYC the "import scene" is lots of young people driving crazy around you to try and get you to race...people vandalizing your car to get parts (not all vandals/thieves are import people, some are just plain thieves !!)...but the good import scene in NYC is meeting cool guys and forming a club called R-speed...hanging out at shows, cook outs, etc. So, the import scene is not all bad. The main reason I am selling is to get into road racing and to get a house. The ITR is too much $$ (note and insurance) at the moment to get into road racing and keep the ITR.
The "import scene" in nyc is just horrible in my opinion. Bunch of people that only care for show...you know, if you go to Flushing and you can pick out just ONE Honda/Acura without an annoying muffler or cat-back...you get a cookie from me...heheh. Well not all, but plenty only care about how their car looks and trust me...they are doing a really crappy job at it. No one friggin races at solo2 events or at a track...why mod your car...and street racing in nyc is just crazy...too many damn cars and potholes. I just traded my Civic Si in yesterday...didn't feel like owning the a "civic" anymore. My choices were kind of restricted so I opted for a prelude. If anything, the "civic" owners in majority are just plain ignorant. I miss my Si though...lots of history but the Prelude just seems more or I guess "less childish" than the civic. All in all...leaving the import scene would be one hard task for me to accomplish. Good luck to all of us who are doing the import scene some justice.
GSX1300RBusa
An awesome bike! So, when are you start gonna fixing it up??
There are tons of parts for it and i'm sure the mod-bug will hit soon.

The PC2 is just like the Hondata, but much cheaper
As for the import scene you are part of it wether you like it or not with these type of cars. That stupid movie didnt help either. This thing blew up.
When the R was up for sale, I wanted to sell it to a responsible person. My age, but nothing but kids were interested. The guy who bought it is 17 and flew out here to pick it up. Did you guys get that?? 17 and flew out here to pick it up, no parent, and lots of cash to pay for it. I had to explain what to look for when buying a used car.
To make things worse here in Chicago, the lowrider people are pissed about the scene. they are on a mission to **** up any import. Im not about show, but I still got a bottle thrown at me. The harassment by cops, the classifications,
You guys who never been to an illegal street race, do me a favor and go one day. Its sickning! You will see why youre part of the import scene whether you like it or not.
Thank you all for the kind words. Take care!!!
Don't mean to bring up a sore point, but I never got a check from you for my ITR flywheel
(which according to UPS was delivered to you on about Oct. 30), ... carlos.
The only reason I'm posting this here is because you haven't responded to any of my e-mails or phone calls.
BTW -- I do still have your address!

I know what he means about the import scene here in Chicago. Its really ridiculous. My brother-in-law just picked up a Busa from Champion Cycle Center here in Chicago, and I'm thinking about an R1 myself. Enough rambling, best of luck and it was great meeting you

uugghh -- I know your pain & fully back you up on it, as with others who replied back to this post regarding the f'd-up 'import scene'. Just hearing the word 'import' makes me cringe with disgust. Being associated with this so-called industry sucks --you try to do your own thing but somehow the evils of the 'import industry' creep up and some how **** everything up -- maybe not at once, but bit by bit it eats away at your conscience. Honda's are hot items these days and thieves are the number one thing I cannot stand -- there's grip-o-thieves in this thing too.
Good luck & be safe with your new motorsport ventures...
as I will soon venture onto some other form of auto-motorsport in the near future (FR).

goodbye to you too and good luck with the bike. unfortunately I didn't make it to the Type R get together in the summer so I never got to meet you.
I dunno what you guys are talking about regarding the import scene in Chicago. I must be hanging out in the wrong circles. Nobody harasses me for driving a stock, dirty-white, entry-level Acura with a big wing - soon to be shod with snow tires for the winter.
