Remote turbo install
I was reading in the new "Turbo" about a new application. I was wondering if there was a way to apply this idea to an NSX? Remove the muffler and making more room for the setup? Plus would I need to go with a water to air cooler? Here's a link to the company that does the remote turbo installs.

I think it is a moot point even on regular cars and trucks.
I read Turbo's retort on typical draw backs but I still wouldn't want my $2k dollar turbo sitting on the ground. Nor would I want the air filter down by the tire. Hydro lock anyone?
With that said, on the NSX, I believe it would be silly. Not only that but a kit engineered for the NSX would be my choice. Not some turbo kit designed for trucks where space is a premium under the hood but abundant at the rear. This is not true of NSX's.
See Maximum Boost, by Corky Bell for the proper way to boost an NSX.

Here is a link with some pics of the FX500 turbo system for the NSX.

Turbos need lots of heat to spool efficiently. You want lots of heat/pressure before the turbine wheel, and none after it. "Remote mounting" of turbos is generally a bad idea unless there is no other solution.

Thank you for the kind words guys. Ponyboy knows this system has been in the works for a long long time. The FX500 makes 500rwhp with approximately 380ft/lbs. We are releasing the system at these levels, however the system has been proven capable of 640+rwhp so far. Believe us if there was another place we could put it that would not require any modifications to the frame, suspension, and our exhaust system all while mainting the its core foundation we would have done it.
Knight, our engine builder and tuner’s heart is with the Supra, at his previous shop he produced in excess of 1000rhwp out of an SC300 drag car.

Indeed. See "NSX w/ Nuts" post (pardon the off-color description). It has taken a while but it looks worth the wait. I can't imagine KGP being anything other than truthful about the finished result.
Make no more mention of the Supra. Knightie's getting, or has gotten already, an NSX.

I have no loyalty to any one car.
Just cars whose main intention was to go fast.
