Default Intercooler question

Is there any way to prevent Intercooler fins to not get bent?
I see used intercoolers for sales that 90% of the time has bent fins.. If i put a grill will it interfere with the airflow?

Thanks

It's not going to help. Most people w/ the bent fins get needle-nose pliers and occasionally bend them back. You'd get a few less bends with a grill on the front bumper, but not much of a difference. It won't affect spool much..

you could put a grill in front of it, I am pretty sure it would not block the air flow to the intercooler or enough to make a diff. If you want a intercooler have some money to spend buy the apexi gtr intercooler. It has bars instead if fins.
