Default ghetto exhaust!

ok...i know im gonna get flamed hard core for this but...will an aluminum can withstand exhaust heat? my flange from my header to my exhaust broke and i want a temp fix so i can drive aorund without cops pulling me over...well at least till payday...cuz i drive around alot...thanx

Are you thinking of a soda can and two hose clamps?

I've done it with steel sheet metal. The aluminum won't melt, but the vibration might break it.

It will work, for about 5 mins, then the vibration would just tear it up.

ditto - i dont think like an aluminium can would work, but if you split a coffe can, wrap it around there once or twice and put some u-bolts around it itd prolly work decently well...
