#01-0431 was bruised pretty badley tonight(dumbass truck drivers)
Well, I know this thread will be useless without pics but I will get them up when I get back in town on sat. Anyway a dumbass in a dodge ram 1500 decided that my passenger side rear quarter panel needed to be modified by modified I mean a huge *** dent!!! This is just a rant threat right now I will get pics up later im just soooooooooooo pissed off that some people are soo careless. All before getting my car tuned finally....oh well it is what it is and im sure it will get fixed but I know its gonna be expensive....and at least it wasn't stolen...but if it gets a salvage title (I don't think it will) I don't know what I will do

Sorry to hear about the misfortune.
Good luck fixing it up, If the adjuster says it a total ask him how much its over and offer to pay that amount- it might prevent them from going into the red on the payment.

Probably won't be totalled if it's an 00/01. Will be expensive though...
My Advice? Find a good body shop. Have them quote the damage, then let them deal with the insurance company...

They're not gonna total it for that.
Ya ever hear the phrase "A little knowledge is dangerous in the wrong hands". Well, now you have.
Best of luck TypeRpaul, that totally sucks hope she's better asap. That's worse than Ed's gouge.

Or depending upon time and availabliity of said "good" shops, you can go around and get several quotes and let them compete and when you're satisfied with the deal you can have the insurance company deal with the rest.
The BIGGEST thing at this point is to read and fully understand your insurance policy, it's ammendements and your rights.
Again, best of luck

Seriously! Good luck Paul, that sucks.
.... seems these cars aren't safe even standing still.
I'm going to be getting some paint and sandpaper in a bit and at least stop my "ding" from rusting ... till it gets fixed.

thats terrible
my bro has a new dodge 1500 RAM too, and it could squash my R like a pancake
i wouldnt even give a crap how much it costs to repair that if the other guy's insurance will take care of it. only thing i'd be looking for right now is which shops do the finest work. i'd recommend asking your local ferrari and porsche dealerships which bodyshops do work for them, because from your pics, it looks like your R was in cherry condition

The only bad part about that hit is they will have to cut and weld a new rear quarter panel. I think that has way too many creases to be fixed. Unless you want tons of bondo in there.
a small hit like that and u say its gonna be totaled, i wouldnt take my R to the states lol.
sorry for the confusion all...the car probably wont be totaled, i jusk know rear quarter panel work is very expensive as well as paint matching black...I was ranting on how it better not get totaled
