Default Removing heater core

Ive removed all the a/c and heater components from the car. I'd like to remove the heater core also but theres two lines coming out of the motor, through the firewall and into the heater core. Can i "loop" these two lines into eachother or plug them? Ive never done this so im not sure what to do with them. Thanks for the help!

I did a search and one thread came up. Somebody said to remove the outlet fitting from the head and install a threaded plug, then remove the thermostat housing and have the inlet from the heater core welded shut.

It sounds easier to just loop it. Anyone know if looping it is a bad idea or would it be safe? Thanks again.

It took me about an hour before i realized the bolt is on the opposite side of the firewall. Ive got it covered how to take it out im just unsure of what to do with the coolant lines that run into the heater core. What did you do with yours?

just get a fitting that connects the two lines together.

You could even install a water temp sensor in the fitting and connect a temp gauge too it.

wait, nevermind, just keep it simple, just loop them. you'll be fine.

You can loop the one line on to the other, all the do is carry radiator fluid, or you can plug it wich ever you prefer
