Asking the community here for some help...
I need help getting a car smogged in the Los Angeles area. It should pass the emissions part, haven't verified that yet, though it did pass last time it needed it. However, if you pop the hood, its very obviously not street legal.
So if anyone is or knows a mechanic who can help me out here, I don't mind driving some distance, and am willing to both provide a finders fee to the person to steer me to the right place, and, of course, tip the mechanic for his services.

Heh, its not legal parts. And my old mechanic is long retired now. Basically I need someone to pass the visual, it should pass the sniffer just fine.

Well, I had a pretest...
15 mph
HC 15 ppm / max 244
CO 0.00 / max 1.52
NO 2918 ppm / 1480 max
25 mph
HC 14 ppm / 212 max
CO 0.00 / 1.32 max
NO 2759 ppm / 1340 max
So yeah, I'm a little beyond the limits for NO. Anyone have any suggestions? I have an aftermarket catalytic, which was installed back in 95, and I'm thinking that might be the first thing to look into. If anyone knows of an easy way to get the NO down, I'd love to hear it.

email me your contact info: dankeeboy@hotmail.com I know of some places.
first of all, check your ignition timing. Second, do you have any modifications that would raise combustion temperature.?. Last but not least, you may ended up replacing that cat. anyway, since you have a so called "tuned" motor, it will sure to damaged your cat anytime.
