wats a good QUIET exhaust to get?
now i kno its kinda weird saying a quiet muffler cuz in general most make ur car louder...but i've been looking for something quieter than my hayame and not many come close to that factory stock quietness....wat are sum good proven quiet exhaust/muffler to get?
WOW, hayame!! most anythign will be quieter. The quietest i have found is the greedy SP or the ITR rear section if you can fabricate it up. The greddy i meantioned i have and so far (1 year) no rust at all and real quiet.

apexi ws, the greddy sp, mugen twin loop ... and if you can get ur hands on it a rsr all quiet i believe all have 2.25 piping so if you plan on going FI then better get something else or fabricate one. good luck
I've heard that the Mugen Twin Loop is supposed to be pretty quiet.

nah i've heard one in person before.. it's loud enough to get pulled over here in CA IMO. don't get me wrong though, the sound was pretty nice

if its about cops... then GET "50 STATE LEGAL" EXHAUSTS!! GREDDY and DC Sports are two companies. You get a certificate to say that it IS LEGAL and you get off of a ticket easily! If not, get a canister style with silencer. Get a ticket, go get it written off with silencer.
any places i can get the muffler alone? all of them just seem to sell the full catback system. ill be searchin in the meantime...

Comptech, Apexi WS, Mugen, RS*R.
I chose RS*R because I got a good deal on it on his very forum. $290 fullcat back. It is very quite but deeper tone then stock.
5dB louder then stock at idle and 1dB louder then stock at 6000rpm.

I have the mugen twin loop on my 4 door
it is quiter than some of the other exhaust - it does not have that buzzin' sound (only way I can describe) that most aftermarket exhausts have. right around 4 grand it starts to sound sooo sweet - then vtec @ 4400 rpm and around 5800 it gets loud (when the secondaries open up)
if you are looking for a quite good exhaust system get an ITR muffler and custom 2.5 inch mandrel bend piping - the mugen cost me an arm & 2 legs
