Default Yellow's with stock springs how low can I go?

I was wondering If I just got the shocks and put them on retaining my factory springs and used the lowest setting on the shocks how much would this drop my car and is this a bad Idea and if so why?

Twanks

The lowest perches are meant for the stock springs. I have them with eibachs pro kit on highest perches...still lower than stock....i think stock on lowest perch will be 1.5 inch lower all around

First of all, I would wait. The ride quality will be, considering your damper is turned to the softest setting will be very similair to stock considering the soft stock spring rates. Why are you going to put the Koni's on your stock springs though? I bet you're in a hurry and you want to install them right? I've been there too. Just wait until you have your shocks, or if you really want to install them, considering you haven't already purchased the Koni's, go with something less expensive such as KYB AGX's or Tokico Illumina's, even though they won't be up to the Koni level.... (Biased!) If it were me, I would keep the Koni's and just wait until you have the springs, that way you can do the entire installation at once as well.

Good Luck either way!

they will give in about 3-4 months of use.
I disagree.. The shocks will be fine for at least a year.. I've done crazy sh-tuff to Koni Reds, and have experience with Yellows and coilovers at their extreme lowest setting, and no problems for over a year, no experience for more than that with Konis..

Currently I have KYB AGXs and Skunk2 coilovers and the perch in the back is at it's lowest, and the front is like 3 threads up from its extents (a little raked).. NO PROBLEMS whatsoever for ~2 years now..
