I'm trying to see what people have come up with for the throttle cable install.
Temporarily I have flipped the Y8 bracket over and can only run one screw for the mounting bracket.
The cable is loosened as much as possible, but still seems to be just ever so slightly too tight. I'm not exactly sure if it is yet as the engine hasn't been fired yet.

So, what's everyone else doing?

 

you can just use an 87 crx throttle cable bracket! thats what i'm using. good luck

Perfect fit?
Uses both mountng screws?
Room for cable adjustment?

all you have to do is drimmel out the bolt holes a little bit. fits great. like factory

 

Why not just use the 96+ ex throttle cable? Its only about 12 bucks from a honda dealer...

 

I am using the 90/91 LX/EX accelerator pedal with cruise. The fitting on the end of the cable is different than the one on the 88~91 Si.
I can only imagine that the fitting will be different on the 98 EX as well.

There are 2 throttle wires (they call it a wire... not cable?!?!?) to order from Honda for the 98 EX. I could get them both and only spend $20. I'm just not sure which to buy and if either of them would work.
