help! my 92 clutch needs to be replaced?
I was recently told by a honda dealership that the clutch on my standard 92 accord is about to "fail". I was wondering if other owners of 92 accords have experienced this problem because i am not noticing any difference in how my car is driving and because it is such an expensive proceedure to replace, I realistically cannot afford to fix it. Let me know what you think...should i look for a new car??
ive had a few clutches go out myself, so anytime something feels weird with the clutch, i assume the disc is bad. when slipping the clutch the grab point feels very high, i almost fully release the peddle and thats when it grabs. my integra with a good brand new clutch grabs right in the middle of the peddle. so i dont know if the clutch is bad since its grabs at the top or if the peddle itself needs to be adjusted. any info about this would be very helpful.
I'll have to look again to see EXACTLY what they said the problem was but I was planning on having them fix it...I know nothing about cars personally. As far as what the car feels like when I'm driving...thats where I'm confused because I haven't noticed a single problem with the clutch. Should I feel something different?
