Default SPA Design mirrors

Looks like I need to get some mirrors for my track car and I was looking at SPA Design GT mirrors. They come in both flat and convex. Has anyone tried convex side view mirrors? Is it worth the extra few bucks?

Also, if anyone knows a good place to buy them please let me know.

I put a simple convex stick-on mirror on my passenger side OE unit of my racecar and am very pleased with it. I can even see Spec Racer Fords when they are hiding in my blind spot.

I got my SPA Formula mirrors from Pegasus Auto Racing Supplies...

Can't comment on the convex because I went with the flat mirror for drivers side only (no mirror on passenger side). I'm sure it would be better to get a convex mirror rather than a flat mirror for the passenger side though!

After doing some web searching I found that APR sells a CF mirror that looks to be the same as the SPA Design (Perhaps the same manufacturer).

Regardless the APR ones look to be based off of the Formula size and look too small. However, they also sell GT size CF mirrors with blue lens for only $75 (each). The only catch is it doesn't look like they come with the small universal base, BUT that can be ordered from Pegasus for $10.

Not bad considering the SPA plastic ones cost $72 each.
