Default Belt Squeal w/. CTR N1 Crank Pulley

Hey guys I have recently added the CTR N1 crank pulley to my GSR (I know it is not a Type R but I figure you guys would have more experiences running this than the guys in the regular Integra forum) and from a cold start I get some belt squeal. Usually it is not bad but it is horrible on some of the hot, muggy days we have been having here in the Northeast. I put a new Kelly/Springfield belt on when I did the installation which was about 500 miles ago. The belt itself is on pretty tight. Any suggestions on how to eliminate the squeal?

Thanks!

I had the same problem. But, in my case, I had a new belt put in. It took a couple days of driving for the noise to go away. I think it is the same case with a new pulley.

It is actually getting worse as the days go buy. I checked the belt tonight and it is a 760 and I believe it is as tight as it can get. Can a belt be too tight, and if so will it squeal? Should I try another belt?

i'm geussing you have it too tight. weather or not that is causing the squeal, I'm not sure. you might have got some grease or oil from your hands on the belt. try to find out which belt it is.
