Well I want everybody's opinion on which car has a better deal?? and which car is better overall..reason for doing this is because I can't decide on which one I wanna get.
to be honest your starting off spending alot of cash, the cars are around their book values but most likely cats on here are going to tell you to just buy a shell and continue from there.
Civic-NO NO NO, little engine so you you'll have to do a swap if you plan on really messing with it.
LS- Good car but knowing what I know now I wouldnt buy it, cause you'll run into a kid that bought a 94GSR for half the price and he'll give some problems. But all isnt dead with it cause you can always build a LSVtec which I wouldnt do unless #1 the car is fully paid for #2 you gonna completely rebuild it properly for LSvtec but LS engines are know for taking BOOST, so even if you still paying on the car put a turbo kit on it (keep a spare oil pan around) and you'll outpower stock GSR's, Type Rs, H22's all day and if you decide to trade it in just remove the kit and replace the pan. LS lots of room to play..
GSR-Hey at the end of the day way better engine stock for stock compared to a LS, you'll get good power off the start but like the price tag tells yah it will cost you; thats $3000 difference from the LS which could buy a turbo kit but nothing like Vtec kicking in. Check the newsday before you go to the dealer you might find a better deal YOU SHOULD
GOOD LUCK
BY the way I got a 98GSR and I just replaced the engine/tran with a 2001 GSR with 30K miles, full leather interior, 2001GSR blades, Tein Coilovers, and the car is a very very very rare purple isshh blue color, its stock, let me know if your interested, buyer gets some after market parts from my last teg such as Exedy race flywheel and clutch, fuel regulator and if I still got them Greedy headers in mint condition, havent driven the car around yet, saving for paint touch up. dav_680@hotmail.com and I can see if I can get some pics. If not good luck again with the other cars, whatever you do try not to start with a SOHC engine. lol

Both of those cars are over priced IMO
I have a 00 gsr with 22K miles. If I was going to sell it I would sell it for 12.5K because thats what they go for around here (I live in the bay area). That much for a 98 with a bunch of miles? All of the cars sound like bad deals to me, unless you are buying them from a dealer. If thats the case try to talk them down a little.

Who the hell gave 2 votes to the civic dx over an integra LS? a dx for 10,500 is insanely overpriced IMHO.
I'd go GSR if it were me, all the way.

SSBP= Super Sonic Blue Perl
one of the, if not.. THE best color that acura ever came out with
i'd do LS with the turbo setup.. you can turbo on stock internals on 7-9lbs.. and to give you some word's of inspiration.. a h-t member by the name of shermang has an LS on 300WHP!!
its so sexy and insane.. maybe he'll be in here to help you pick

all of those cars seem a little high in price. esp. the civic. thats jus crazy if you buy that. imo any of those tegs would be better. but ive seen some 98 ls for right around 6g so id look around more

Yeah, those are all overpriced. I just sold my Dark Violet Pearl 2000 GSR with 50k miles on it for $13,000, with all OEM parts, as well as Tein SS, Greddy Exhaust, DC header, and AEM CAI.
Try to find a 98-99 GSR for around $10-11k, it can be done. If the GSR is at a dealership, they have lots of room to negotiate, they probably bought the car for like $10,000 and are trying to make a big profit. If it's a private seller, wait until nobody buys their overpriced car and they get a dose of realism, then low ball them.

I just don't get it. Why do people buy cars by year, and not by YEAR MODEL? You can buy a 94 teg that will do everything exactly the same(minus bumpers, lights), for 1/3rd as much money. Of course, you are losing mileage and whatnot... but these are hondas, which easily turn 200,000mi with no problems.
Sorry I am just ranting, I'm just trying to say that theres no real reason to pay more depreciation on a car, when you aren't gaining any inherent "cool" factor. A 2001 teg looks just like a 98, or even a 94 for that matter...

My year 2000 vehicle is in much better condition than my 92.... even with similar miles the newer car has been exposed to a lot less and so on.....
Oh, go for the GS-R, but find a better price... Mine is a 2000 and I bought it w/ 45k for $13k and that included 2 sets of wheels/tires.... i was told I could get a better deal out there, but yeah

Go w/ the gsr for an extra 2000 youll appreciate it so much more. I bought a 2000 GSR from Acura Certified preowned w/100,000 mile warranty for LIke 16 and change after tax and tags. It had less than 30000 miles on it. Bought it like 2 years ago
depends on what you want to do with it.
if you want strictly performance, buy a crx or 92-95 hatch and drop in one of the teg engines.
if you want performance and pimpjuice (girls love tegs... and dont like civic hatches for some reason) get a teg.
personally, if you dont really have the commitment to go turbo, get the gsr. then you can just throw intake/header/exhaust on it and call it a day.
if you think you can do turbo, get the ls, imo.
how old are you? car n00b or no?

remember that in many parts of the country GSRs are uncommon, especially late models. Around where I live, there are not many and they do in fact go for a premium. I know in SoCal, there are plenty of GSRs so they go for less there.
