Default Need some info on my teg...

i did a search but couldnt find anything too helpfull...

I bought my first teg in October last year.. it is a 95 se but they said it had a 97' ls motor in it... does this mean they did a obd1-obd2 conversion or is a 95 obd2? also ... if they did will i need to consider this when doing anything in particular to the car????

95 is obd1, they changed to obd2a in 96 then went to obd2b in 98 and up..so yeah they would have had to do the change over unless it isnt a 97 motor.....real easy way to check is look at your cat. and see how many o2 sensors you have.

Is there a VIN numbner on your motor that differs from your car? If there is you can use the VIN decode to figue out what engine it is

you are running an obd1 setup, noone in their right mind would swap to an obd2 harness, too much trouble and you'd have a bunch of other things to deal with. the most likely thing would be: 95 car, 97 motor, 95 harness, 95 ecu, swapped to obd2 injector pig tails or used obd1 injectors, used obd1 dist. or swapped plugs on an obd2 dist. and used it.

how to go about modifying it: just like any other honda, you really dont get into the matter of what on board diagnostic generation you run until you look at altering engine parameters in the ecu. when you do that you swap to obd1 anyways.
