interesting swap.. let me know if it could be done
my friend has a 2001 toyota mr2 and its a great car. its fun and handles great but lacks the power. it is interesting to see that a lotus elise can fit a toyota gts motor in that car, and its also interesting to know that sun international fit a b18c5 motor into a lotus elise. i was just wondering how much money and if it is possible to swap a type r motor into a 2001 mr2
Anything can be done if you want to spend some $$. I have a few Best Motoring videos where they have swapped the Celica GTS motor into the MR2 already, so i would assume the B18C5 would fit in with custom motor mounts.
Sure whatever its possible, and if you're asking US how much its going to cost, then dont even ask. The only people doing retarded swaps like that are guys with lots of skill in fabrication, lots of tools and most importantly time to kill.
This is a Honda board, specifically an Integra forum, we have Integra motors in our Integras, and nearly 99% of this forum would not even think about putting an Integra motor into an MR2, so I'll just say it, this is the wrong place to ask.
