Default cam plug (aka cam seal)

I replace the cam end plug (commonly refer to as "cam seal" but people on this board and notice that it still leaked. This is the one I am refering too:

http://importnut.net/STRseal.htm

I replaced my with a new OEM one and notice that after a weak, it still leaked....what gives??????? The only thing I notice is that I didn't use any gasket sealent but I don't think that should be necessary.....

maybe its your distributor o-ring.....if thats leaking, it may look like its coming from the cam plug.

i had a leaky cam seal since i got my car 3 yrs ago. only about 3 months ago when i was doing timing belt change i decided to take care of it, but forgot to order a replacement before. i just took it out and put liquid gasket on it all around and it doesn't leak anymore. you can tell for sure if it's the seal that's leaking, if there's an oil trail DIRECTLY below the seal on the side of the head. good luck
