Wiring sub harness, 90 hatch si, swapping jdm d15b
just wondering if you ever found an answer for this? i am in need of one to, thinking of buying a crx with d16z6 engine harness but not wired to the dash harness....not running car, and i need to know how to fix this soon or if it is even worth the time....is there any kind of conversion harness to mount a obd1 engine harness with the obd0 dash harness?
have been searching for a while now which is how i came up on this old thread
thanks Jonathan

im looking for an answer to this as well...if anyone can help us out that would be awesome.
i have a z6 w/ obd1 z6 harness that i want to put in my obd0 dx hatch.

im doing the same setup as well jdm d15b in my si hatch.... and all i did was get the complete obd0-obd1 conversion harness from rywire.com cost $190 shipped (its the **** trust me) and other then that im just gonna use my stock si harness and then i used obd1 injector clips, p28 ecu, and thats pretty much it......
i give mad props to rywire.com its as easy as you can go

yea well i know you can go that way, my question is this:
how do you use the Z6 obd1 harness in an obd0 engine bay?
i was thinking maybe swap the shock tower plugs to obd0 (repin them), and then just run those 10 wires coming from the pigtail on the jumper harness to the shock tower.
i think it would look way cleaner and be more easily removable.
if anyone can help me out with this, let me know. im in the middle of the swap right now.
also, if anyone has the pinouts for obd0 and/or obd1 shock tower plugs, that would be MOST excellent. thanks!

well #1, the plugs on the Z6 harness are not obd1 plugs, so you'll be depinning everything at the firewall. which isnt even possible on the large 10 pin disgusting plug thats covered in lithium grease or some crappola. If i really wanted to go over a wiring schematic and explain it all to you and what it lacks i could but the simpler way that would save us all time is this:
We do this every day for a living, and we would NEVER use a Z6 harness in a OBD0 Car. We ALWAYS modify the existing harness to work on the new engine.
and isn't $200 worth your Z6 wiring being done and guaranteed and working as soon as you install it VS having the car disabled so god knows how long (some of our customers cars were dead for months before they found us) .. up to you. But http://www.norcalcrx.org/library/ CRX workshop manual has wiring diagrams in the last 20 pages, those will explain whats in the plugs.. get an OBD1 book and find out the hard way what we already know LOL

what if i were to switch the z6 harness plugs to OBD0 plugs? then the wiring at the firewall wouldnt be as much of an issue.
also, my dx harness is super gross and dirty and broken, and my z6 one is nice and new and clean.
i agree that it would be nice to have my wiring taken care of, but i would love to do it myself and learn a little something in the process.
as one who does this sort of thing for a living, perhaps you have access to the obd0 and obd1 SHOCK TOWER plug pinouts. that would be the most helpful thing to me right now.
thanks~

Trust me man, its not something you want to tackle, trust me. We have dx harnesses in stock, we can sell you one thats not all crusty, and pre modified.
