want to buy mandrel bent piping to make new piping for bov. Aluminum or Steel kit?
I have a drag kit for my 95 gsr with greddy type s BOV. Sorry I do not have a picture to show it. The problem is that the bov is right next to the abs unit and the adjusting screw on the bov rubs one of the "lines" of the abs unit and the top nipple is right under the nut that holds the abs relay box there. After a while, the nut cuts a hole into the vacuum hose and my bov will not work.
I have searched the site and I want to redo that pipe with the ones from JC whitney (aluminized steel I think) and buy the greddy flange kit to attach my bov on it. Which kit (aluminum or steel) would I need? I think I would need 1-90 degree pipe and 2-45 degree pipes. Not sure.
Or should I buy the pipe from the drag kit? Can ben sell me just that pipe? And how hard would it be to cut off the hks flange and weld on the greddy one? Would there be any hood clearance problems?(I think the greddy is taller then the HKS) Thanks in advance for your help.

instead of getting it welded, try using JB weld!
Theres a whole bunch of post's about it in the post labled the Starion Intercooler
and also: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id...=746167#746167
I also plan to use JB weld to make my BOV flange
+ it wouldn't matter which type of piping u use. JB weld works for aluminum and steel.

actually, i havent heard of anyone using aluminum pipes... however aluminized steel is commonly used. Better than steel in that it doesn't rust. Stainless steel is better only cuz it can be polished to be nice and shiny and its supposedly better against rusting... BUT i have aluminized steel piping and i live at the beach(where things rust a lot faster than elsewhere) and i have no rust whatsoever...
actually I am not worried about rust. Just wondering what kind of metal is aluminized steel. Aluminun or Steel?
Anyone else can help? Or maybe I am just being paranoid about my bov rubbing the abs unit?

It doesn't eliminate rust, it resists it. If you've never seen real aluminum piping, check out the guys in magazines that have the big bucks.
oic, this means i should get the metal flange. correct? Thanks for all your help people.
