installing rear strut bar?
hi, i just bought a rear upper strut bar for my accord. ive been told that it goes in the trunk, but i dont know how to install it. i lifted the carpet in the trunk and i dont see any place to bolt it. i would appreciate any help.

i've been out of the scene for years, but got bored and decided to check out some pics and whatnot. anyway, if i remember correctly, you have to cut out your trunk lining in order to bolt that on. Some people just cut out a X into the lining and feed the bar through it, while others just cut out a square out of the lining and mounting through that.
Just don't get the lower rear strut bar...it's useless crap...you can't even look at it unless you look under and specifically look for it (spare wheel well in the way)....so don't even get it for aesthetic reasons.
btw, you probably have the front strut bars...see how they're mounted at the top of the struts? The rear upper strut bar is just like that, but in the trunk....but since you have the lining in the way, you have to cut it like i mentioned before
