What exhaust do you guys recommend?
What kind of exhaust do you guys recommend. Post comments about your system. I would like to especially know about Cat-Back exhausts. Post pics if you have them too.
I've got a GReddy SP on my car. I've heard it's pretty restrictive, but it's a nice quiet deep tone, and NOT annoying while driving whatsoever, even without a cat.

It all depends on how much you want to spend. There are a lot of great companys out there like greddy, HKS, and DC sports. Any decent cat back will probably run you around $500 or so.
I am a big fan of the thermal r&d. It is deep at low rpm and then just gets better as the rpm goes up. It is not buzzy or annoying but it does give a good sound. It is a full stainless system for 450 bucks. Can't beat the price and the quality you get for that price.

I second that. The thermal is the ****. Mine is loud thanks to lack of cat. but quality is great and i really like the fit and finish.

Thermal is the dopest exhaust I ever had. I really miss mine.
Is the CRX catback exhaust shorter than the hatchback? Are the bends different or almost similiar? The reason I'm askin is cuz Tanabe makes a cat-back canister style exhaust for the CRX but not for the hatch. I wonder if it will fit or would i have to extend piping etc etc. HELP!
Only difference in the CRX exhaust and Hatch is about 12" of piping and the hangers are not in the right spots for a hatch on the CRX exhaust.. my GReddy is made for a CRX, but we made a straight pipe anyway, so we just made it longer
I bought mine before GReddy offered a 60mm exhaust for a Hatch.

I use the Tanabe Racing Medallion(cat-back) on my 89 hatch. It was intended for the CRX but with a little fabrication it was fitted.
It is awesome in sound and quality.

What did u have to do to set up the CRX-based Tanabe Racing Medallion to your hatch? I'm planning to do the same for my hatch. If possible, send me pics? my E-mail is wesydegq@hotmail.com Thanks man.
You need to put your car on a lift and dry fit the Tanabe on your car and get measurements, then you can add the peice of pipe about 10-12 inches long and also have the "RESPECTED" muffler shop relocate a couple of hangers. If they have a little know how and time they should be able to make it work....
When adding the peice of pipe don't forget to paint it a matching color after it is installed so it looks decent and does not rust..add the pipe right after the catalytic converter flange so it moves it back the right way...
I liked it because of the fact that not many people had it done..but oh well...goodluck!!!!
