Default 94+ Integra LS Arm Rest/E-Brake Console Question... I searched!

Hey guys, I just picked up an 88 CRX that was more of a pickup truck than anything filled with 94 integra brakes, abs controller and hardness, wiring harness, dash harness, suspension, etc all sitting in the back... And in it I found the Arm Rest/Storage thing that fits over the E-brake... Will this work in a CRX or Just the Civic?

It will fit in a CRX but there will be a gap between the armrest and the center console.

Yeah but I don't.. So I'm going to need to customize something to make it look not so silly. I'm thinking possibly a flush metal plate... I've got tools, I just don't got money.

i put in a 96+ civic armrest...it works, you just have to trim a bit off of it...its not flush and clean, but it serves it purpose and its one of the best $5 bucks ive spent on the crx...

Yup, that's what I did and it only required screws, function over fashion.

You can swap the entire thing over if you switch to a Civic dash, the CRX dash is angled tward the driver where as the civic and integra are straight, no angle. If you swap dashes and use the whole assebly you won't have the gap like the gentleman above had between his shifter and his armrest. If you want the Integra console in a CRX I reccomend swapping dashes, plus you get the cuholder. I've installed the Teg console in every EF Civic I have owned, I love the cupholder and the extra storage the armrest proides. I just got a JDM ITR shift boot for my most recent hatch, I love it nice red sticthing good stuff. Before people start flaming about me spending 30bux on a shift boot, my old one had a hole in it when I got it, so it was a must do.

I swear the closest thing Ive gotten for an answer was the cupholder thing. Im talking about fabricating something.... not buying more crap... Ive already got the teg one. so im going to use that.

You could always mount a Flux Capacitor in there, then you would be able to go back in time too. Or you could mount an AFC.

yes if 88.89....no if 90/91 for the sedan.

EDIT: The DC Integra did not come with blue interior. Not in the US anyway. So you'll be mis matching unless you want to paint.

Talked to you on AIM but for the sake of people searching this thread:

88/89 Sedan will work because they don't have power seat belts.

90/91 Sedan has power seatbelts and as a result there's only like 2" of clearance between the seatbelt units. The Integra Console is about 4-5" wide or so. Just not enough room.

If you have everything up to the integra cupholders you could trim the forward piece to fit around your stock console. If done right I'm sure it would look really good.

UPDATE: last night i got the console to fit, it will fit in 90-91 with auto seatbelts... all u need to do is remove the 2- 14mm bolts holding the huge seatbelt housing and slide the box back a few inches almost to where its behind the seat. Im gonna see if i can make some kind of bracket to hold it steady. But its not that bad right now.

lol, if it's almost behind the seat how do you plan on using your seatbelts?

That seems almost as asinine as reversing the units and bolting them back on to make it fit.

Shoot me some pics, very interesting! I may have to look into it.
