Hey, i was just curious if anyone else has put 6x9's in their cars b4. I just recently bought some and after some cutting and whatnot, i installed them into my 94' Accord. Just wondering if anyone ever did this before

Ya, i did it to my 4th gen back in the day

 

Ha, yea, i had to cut the metal plate that held the original rear 6x1/2 speakers to fit my new 6x9's. It wasn't too much work, it just took a long time and a lot of guessing.

 

i had some alpine type s 6x9 in sealed enclosures a lil while ago... i got rid of them tho because i no longer need rear fill

 

yea i have Alpin Type-s 6x9 in the rear deck they fit with no cutting easy peasy.

 

y did u have to cut?... myne fit fine i just had to drill new screw holes. it was basically cut out to fit either of them.

 

The original metal holder had a hole that was just for a 6.5 speaker. So i cut that to accomdate my 6x9's. I'll show you pictures to show you what i mean.....Whenever i figure out how to do that.

Those metal things are what held my orinal rear 6.5 speakers. Well, i bought some 6x9's and realized they wouldn't fit, but i made them fit.
