Default Prelude Auto Tensioner Question

h22 with all new hydraulic tensioner, timing belt, water pump etc, everything down there. The problem is that its pulling the belt tight enough where its making noise, sounds like its rubbing on something, but ive checked that out and its not, its definetly to tight. I dont want to hear manual tensioner change because if this didnt work honda wouldnt of put it on there.

Default Re: Prelude Auto Tensioner Question (delLudeVTEC)

well, you are going to hear it... auto tensioner is a weak design.

take the tensioner out again. Compress and reinstall. if that don't fix it, upgrade to the manual tensioner.
