I think you could have gotten better HP numbers if you back your timing up a little bit on the n2o runs..

i'll try it next time, i was happy with the torque it was making and thats what wins races.

I can't imagine those torque numbers are correct. You' would have by far the biggest freak B20 motor to ever come out of the factory.

They are correct. Nitrous adds twice as much torque at 2600rpm as the hp rating of the shot.

I agree... I have 4 dyno plots right in front of me running the bottle on a 2.2 with more torque than hp but the numbers are nothing like whats above... thats crazy.

I would like to see the actual chart... if you somehow did that.

4th gear pulls,

The first nitrous pull I made i didnt get to see what it was making because it tried to hop off the dyno. They had to re tighten the straps to get any of the nitrous runs.

The plot maxs at 384 at but falls off to 212 at 3436rpm drops a little to 200 @ 4k and back to 204 from 4k to 5 k then slowley goes down to 179 @ 6k

i wouldnt waiste my time to lie. this is just how it is.

I dont think anyone said liar... I think more it maybe an inaccurate dyno, software, calibration of equiptment, etc.

380+ ft lbs of torque @2800 is big shoes to fill... sorry dont take it personally but something not right in my mind with the picture. and you ran the bottle from what rpm up?

I am not trying to be hater, or bust on your game... thats just huge numbers for a 75 shot.

im no expert but if hes making 201 whp at 3000rpm then the torque figure seeme about right. somone should do the torque x rpm = hp calculation, im no good at math.

it seems that you are on the nitrous to early in the rpm. might not be the best thing for that motor.

like i said, im no expert but im trying to learn about nitrous

Maybe you're no expert, but you're right. The number is a little bit high, but nothing unbeleiveable. I'd be scared to use a 75 shot at 2800rpm. Scared for my engine, because thats looow. I've posted this before, but a 75 should add around the following:

10504rpm 37ft/lbs
5252rpm 75 ft/lbs
2626rpm 150ft/lbs
1313rpm 300ft/lbs
idle... 600ft/lbs?

I sprayied it from around 1,800 to a lil bit past 6,800.

this is the way it looks on one print out on the 375.6 ftlbs pull

375@2800
329@2929
291@3101
278@3197
255@3265
251@3311
248@3349
247@3376
247@3402
246@3428
232@3457
231@3491
216@3529
201@3570
201@3614
201@3661
201@3709
201@3755
202@3801
203@3847
203@3892
204@3939
211@3978
212@4016

then stays at 212 until 4200
then stays at around 204-207 from 4400 to 4800
then around 200 from 4800 to 5500
then slowly makes it down to a 157ftlbs at 6400

actually had 2 other dyno passes, one with 989trq and another with 1000trq. Had a slight distributor problembn the dyno causing the car to stall and then pick back up. Bucked the dyno, causing the trq spikes. You can do the same if you let off the gas then floor it again while on the dyno

your kidding, right??

to the original poster:

what do you think could have caused it to spike to 384 and then go back down to the 200 range? talk about a headscratcher...
