Default yep, another check engine question

Just finished an obd0 to obd1 conversion with a d16z6 into a 90 civic hb dx. everything runs perfect, but when hard shifting the check engine kicks on and the car will idle high... turn off the car then back on and everything is back to normal.

I cant pull the check engine codes because there is no DLC... check engine jumper connector... or what ever you want to call it. its just not there... i checked the harness that runs along the strut tower along the drivers side and dont see any cut wires. checked under the dash on the passenger side and nothing there either. Does anyone know what the wire colors are for the DLC so i can locate where it is suppose to be and check the code. chiltons manual sucks ***, doesnt even mention a DLC.

All help appreciated, thanks.

My first piece of advise is to get that jumper setup.

cuz there's no1 that can help you unless we can tell which code is coming up.

pin C4 is the service connector.
