Default Dyno Results: 91 CRX GS-R 2.0L Stroker Motor

We worked on a 1991 CRX over the last couple of days at the shop. Dyno (Dynojet 248C) on the first day was 163whp with 136wtrq SAE with the A/F dropping off the chart above 6000rpm. We installed a VAFC-II and leaned as much as we could above 6000rpm and still ended up with about 11.7-11.9 A/F. The kid ran out of money for the dyno tuning so we wil be back at it next week to get the base fuel pressure lowered and a revamping of the curve.

Ended up with 173whp and 143wtrq SAE. He made more power the entire graph only modifying the fuel curve. Torque picked up 20ft/lbs over baseline around 4000rpm after moving the VTEC changeover to 3500rpm.

As soon as I can DL the graphs from work I will post them.

I believe this should be posted in all motor forum

but anyways

I think u should be making way more power then this or the kid should be

as the torque looks crazy enough to hit 200whp for sure

I had they numbers on my crvtec and I had pr3 cams which didn't help me now I should be hitting the right set up

hope that kid gets more time to play with it next weekend

so that motor can run at it's peak

not like right now

True, advancing the timing and leaning it out more will make a few more horses, but honestly, I didn't think the stock GSR cams and head could flow enough for 200+whp all-motor. Are there dynos out there that show they can? I would love to know the state of tune on those motors.

We are shooting for about 185whp as the realistic limits with the top-end he has now. Stage 2 Comp Cams, springs, retainers, oversized valves and some porting/polishing are on the horizon.
