My 97 accord LX's auto tranny has no engagement what so ever, just rev's going up but no speed. If the solenoid goes bad would it cause this or would it still be able to move?

I'm throwing cel's code 30-31-70.
30 Automatic transmission A signal
31 Automatic transmission B signal
70 Problem with auto transaxle.

Look down the page, there's a whole thread on 6th gen accords, honda had a field day putting in shitty transmissions.

I'm on my second myself, some of these people are on their third...


I had the no speed problem myself. When you build up revs and there's no speed and it shifts to the next gear, do you get thrown forward?

looks like ur throwin a special code GIITBBUT... gettin it in the butt by ur tranny call up honda and see what you can get from em for puttin in such a shitty tranny... or do a manual tranny swap

 

So it can't be the solenoid huh? Now I gotta tow my car home today from 30 miles away

Does anyone know what year and type of trans that will fit my car? CL, older accord models, preludes, etc...???
