radiator decision for HPDEs
ran my car for the first time with chinmotorsports at sebring two weeks ago. entered as a novice, left as a solo in one event, some people can take months.
anyways... i got a 98 jdm B18C-R and im still running the stock radiator.
after about 10 laps, about 25-30 minutes, the needle would start getting close to hot. i wanted to ask some of the honda challenge guys. keep in mind the motor just has bolt ons now, but will have extensive internal work around summertime next year.
my real question is would a del sol dual core radiator be enough or should i go straight for an alluminum raditator, ie fluidyne, koyo, etc.
not to be cocky but if i got solo in one day, i've got a feeling i got some talent. thats why im aiming for honda challenge, but some people say its not gonna happen. i just dont want to kill my chances now. thanks for the help guys!

<rant>Being solo on track isnt really a reward or a cookie for being fast.
Going solo means that you've demonstrated that you are safe and aware enough to go out on track alone and practice some things without your instructor along as a ballast.
Take that for what its worth. I've sent some relatively slow guys out solo and some much faster ones I've stayed with all weekend.</rant>
I would get a Dual core or Full width integra radiator - they're cheap and they work well enough. No real need for a pimpy $400 alyoominyum bling bling unless you plan on using the unit later for racing - and if you are, see if you can pick one up with an integrated oil cooler (PM 'Todd Reid' he did this).
