i havnt got under the car yet but i am hearing a knocking sound when i slow down to slow speeds and also starting out at slow speeds. its getting a little worse and i need help desifering this problem. at first i thought it was the axels but now i am not so sure cause it might be happening when i put the clutch in at slow speeds. the clutch thing might also be my imagination so i was wondering it and one could help.

 

Is it worse on acceleration?

 

no it seems the same from slowing to a stop and accelerating from a stop.

 

i also just put in a ITR lsd in my ls tranny so would that make a difference?

 

Start by grabbing the axle and trying to move it around. If one moves more than the other i'd replace the axles. I'd try to jack the front end up and manually turn each wheel. Check for any kind of resistance and obviously noise.
were you rough with the axles when removing? did you reuse existing ones or get new?

 

they are 97 ls axels. i will try to check under the car tonight or tomorrow. i'll keep you posted
