Default Anyone use or have used NTK o2 sensors?

a friend of mine was thinkin about buying a NTK o2 sensor. hes havin trouble passin smog and hes wonderin if NTK o2 sensors are good replacements. i always recommend OEM, but im wondering if maybe NTK is a good, reliable brand for him to use. he is havin a problem passing smog, so he needs a new o2. we took off his turbo kit and i think its pretty much shot. he has a 95 LS.

NTK is going for $80 on a group buy...
compared to $200+ for OEM.

Almost any brand of o2 sensor will do if it's for your application. We have used Bosch, Dephi, NTK, Wells, Mighty, and some other brands and we never have a problem with them...

cool. thanks for the reply. its in his best interest to pass smog so he wanted to make sure NTK was just as good as using OEM.

In many Hondas, NTK is OEM.

really? interesting. i wonder why theres such a huge difference in price. my friend's wholesale price for an OEM o2 sensor is still double the price of a NTK on groupbuy. aint that a funny thing?

Many, not all. Just saying that they have been used in OEM applications, so they obviously are not crap.

All of the OEM wideband sensors are NTK.

I saw one for $79.99 on a group buy. Good deal?

If it's such a reliable brand, I'm wondering why they are significantly cheaper than other brands.

You can get one for for half that price at any parts store if you just use a universal 4 wire o2 sensor. Only difference is you have to splice the connector off the old o2 onto the new one. The connector is the only difference.

5wire wideband's in the Civic VX's are NTK. I have two that I use for the wideband controller I made.

i bought a 4 wire direct fit (no wiring) off ebay for like 60$. for a 95 gsr

oh and from what i understand they are one of the best if not the best replacement besides OEM... why is it so much more from the dealer??? why is everything so expensive at the dealer part quality, part 1 million percent mark up.

go with NTK its the same company as NGK which we all know makes EXCELLENT products.
