Default Need Help Locating a Strange Noise

Ever since i got my car used a few months ago, i've noticed that there is a creaking/squeaky sound coming from what seems like the front underside of the car when going over dips or uneven sections of the road or parking lot. This occurs at any speed but is most evident in low speeds as there is less road noise. It almost sounds like an animal is in there sometimes (don't worry, i'm sure there is NO animal under my hood).

I never really cared much for it, but i figured that since my warranty will be ending soon, i better make use of it and make as many claims as possible. Tuesday morning, i took my vehicle to my local honda dealership to have them check it out. I even had a tech ride with me so i could show him the noise that i was talking about. He even said that it was "strange."

After leaving my car there for about 6 hours, i get a call from the service secretary and I am informed that the noise i'm hearing is "normal" suspension noises. Obviously, my dealership is no help at all to me and I was wondering if any of you guys might have experience with this same kind of sound? Its not that big of a deal to me, but i know the sound isn't normal and if i could, i would like to get rid of it. Thanks.

only thing I can think of are the shipping bushings that are typically removed from the springs themselves. if you remove each front wheel, you'll be able to see if there are black blocky-rubbery inserts into each spring. these are used for shipping the car from Japan so the car doesn't bounce so much during shipping. they are usually removed from the dealer at the time of delivery. some dealers forget these. they could still be on the car.

anyone else have any other thoughts?

Car ages. Even new it'll make those noises.

Don't worry about it. It's got many moving parts. Many many bolts.

Noise happens.

Even new S2k's make this sound? I drove a '04 S2k and it didn't seem to make any sounds whatsoever. Maybe its just one of the ways the new '04 has been refined . I just find it funny how i've never heard this sort of noise on any other car before. Oh well, just as long as its normal and nothing is wrong .

Mr. Bagel: Thats what i was thinking the sound might be when my car was stock. But when i looked, there were no spacers. I'm on Tein RA now and the noise is still there.

Thanks for the advice guys .

Nope! It happens whether i'm going straight, left, right, slight right, slight left, accelerating, and decelerating. Its not a very loud noise, but i can definitely hear it when i'm coming to a stop.
