Default Rubbing Issues

My buddy has a 1988 CRX Si and just picked up a set of 15" Buddy Club P1's with a 42 offset. He is thinking of mounting 205/50/15 Falken Azenis on there, but is curious if it is going to rub either on the suspension, or on the fender. If anyone could help me out here that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Kevin

Im sittin on some 15 inch Tenzo R Sinkos (sorry I dont know the offset) and I just threw on some Azenis a week ago and I rubbed in the rear so I had to roll my fenders. Hanvt really done any hard cornering since I rolled my fenders so I cant tell you if that worked or not.

Hope this helps any, I did post about this and a lot of people were sayin how they didnt rub at all.....just my luck I guess

Good luck

Matt

go with a 195/45 15 and you can slamm the car as much as you want !!!

195/50 15 (OEM 'Overall Diameter' Spec crx size) can be used but the car wont be as slammed.

205/50 15 will be too wide a tire andtoo tall a sidewall..

Ya from what ive been reading the ideal offset for a crx is 42-45. We put a set of my group n's on there and they have a 38 offset with 205/50/15 Kumho 711's and it was pretty much flush but rubbed on the fenders if he hit a dip or something while turning. I think the 42 offset should be good. Im just afraid of the azenis. I hear that falken under rates that tire, and even though it says 205, its really closer to like a 215. So we will see when he gets them mounted tomorrow. If it doesnt work, then there will be a brand new set of falken azenis for sale.

Why would you put 45 series tires on a 15" wheel???

I just think that is stupid. I would not go lower then a 50 series tire.

I actually like the OEM 55 series tires that come on the DC.

Well we put them on and they rubbed a bit in the front so we rolled the fenders and pulled em out a bit. The back just barely fits. Probably couldnt hurt to roll them too. I will try and get some pictures up.
