Default modifying stock injectors to have a greater flow rate?

A scooby friend of mine has sent his injectors somewhere that they modified and balanced them to flow 880cc/min...

Are there any sources that do such a modification to honda injectors?

I'm sure RC Engineering could do it for you.

I sent a set of my ITR injectors there once to have them cleaned and balanced (at 85K miles).
Good thing too, one of them was only doing ~180 cc/min whereas the other three were all around 238 cc/min.

Kenny - WRX/STi injectors use a flow cap to control flow rate. You can mod the injector by removing the cap. The injector flows approx. 740cc then. RC will do the mod for you, at a cost of $300 (as quoted on NASIOC). Appears you can do it yourself though as you just have to cut the cap off the injector. Here is the link;

I'd imagine that the pintle and orifice size would have to enlarged/bored out. That seems like a really time consuming procedure involving machining and possibly custom manufacturing of the pintle size.

It'd probably be easier to get a set of used RC injectors, a new set of generic Lucas disc-type injectors, or a set of MSD SCI injectors, which are all available for around $200 or less.

I agree. I don't have personal experience with modifying stock injectors, but from talking with people who have, it sounds as though it is about the same cost as just buying new injectors.
