Default Radiator fans not working...

Behind my radiator i have two fans about the size of dinner plates. They only come on when the A/C is on. I think my car is running too hot. Are these fans supposed to cool the engine when the car is running and the A/C is off, or are they just for the A/C?

They should come on when the coolant temp switch in the thermostat turns them on (may be wrong on the switch name, but yes they should come on)

They also come on when the AC is on, so maybe the thermo switch is no good.

try replacing the two harnesses next to the fan or checking out the relays.
