Next Mod: Fuel Pressure Regulator or 4-2-1 Header??
What do u think is the next thing I should get and Adj FPR or a 421 Header? I currently have a cai and a cat back exhaust. What will make more difference between the two? I just want to get 1 of those 2 at this point due to $$!
I think right now you don't really need a fuel pressure reg. Just go get the headers to open up your exhaust system a little bit more. A JDM 4-1 Header would be well worth the money.
BTW, I see that you have an MSD 6A ignition system installed. How do you like it? And also, where did you mount all the components. I'm assuming you have the MSD Blaster coil as well right?

sure JDM is fine.....but not if he is running a stock CAT which i assume he is. And its not the greatest idea if he doesnt wanna change that and have to invest in a highflow cat with a 2.5" collector. Nothing wrong with the JDM header, but i think it would be best if we informed our friend what else he will need inorder to bolt it on. I would hate for him to order it, get it home and not be able to actually use it because of a misinformed recomendation
Yeah my bad. You're going to need a CarSound car with 2.5" inlets and flanges. About $170. But a good standard US-spec header would be an APEXi GT header. The have them for LS's now.
So the question is still on....what should I get?
http://www.s4-mtm.com - MSD helped in my mid-high and a little bit in initial torque. I mounted the it between the firewall and the intake manifold. I use the internal coil...but planning to get the blaster coil soon.

http://www.s4-mtm.com, so you recommend the 4-1 JDM header for an LS?
Actually you only need the FPR if you need to shoot more fuel faster. minor bolt-ons will gain you next to nothing with this mod.
On the other hand, headers won't be the best bet either because like all mods, it's the end goal that determines what you buy. For example, buying headers now and getting a turbo (which comes with it's own exhaust manifold for obvious reasons) would be a bad investment.

Well, then I guess his intake and 2 1/4" HKS exhaust are going to be useless as well when he does go turbo. But a 2 1/2" JDM 4-1 header would be kick *** with a supercharger. With the bolt ons you already have you can still use them with a blower. I suggest you decide now what you want to do with your car in the long run before you spend more money on mods. With my GF's LS I'm going to turbocharge it. With my ITR, I'm going with a blower.
i say dont worry about the FPR yet, untill or if you get nitrous. get a USDM header, so you dont have to replace the cat. I think you guys can agree with me on the fact that for minor bolt ons the USDM and the jap spec header wont make a minor difference, but if you are looking for one or two more HP and are willing to get the magnaflow cat, then go jap spec. Other wise, pick your poision. IM going Greedy 4-2-1 whenever someone can get them in stock.
