Confirmed my plans last night, and thanks to mileage, some persistance, and a VERY nice US Air Reservations Assistant, Business Class all the way! Leaving Jan 8 and returning Jan 14. Anyone else going? Visit to Spoon is set up for the 10th and we may be assisting them in their booth with Alan and Ben from A&J!!! I can not wait, as this is my first trip to Asia.

I used mileage, so I paid 90k miles. Coach tickets are running about $1100 and business class about $6000 if you go on the dates I am. Hmm, maybe I should sell Daniels ticket and let him watch the shop...LOL. Nah, that would crush him!

 

FYI - consolidator Economy Class tickets (round-trip) normally are about $500+ round-trip from LAX to Narita (Tokyo); about $700+ from the east coast. Consult with your Asian travel agents

Shinjuku - a fairly good ride from the Auto Salon, but nice area. Lots of shopping, nightlife. I think a high concentration of "soap land" there
