Need help identifying a part and a plug
Doing a B20 swap into my CRX Si and there are 2 plugs that are left over and I don't know what they are for.
#1 - On the back of the intake manifold. The B18 manifold I am using doesn't have this part

#2 - Moving MAP sensor to B20 throttle body but I don't know what this other plug is for. There is no room on the B20 throttle body for this plug

got a better pic of where that hose runs to?

This plug in this pic is the plug for the EVAP purge solenoid. A vacuum line goes to the back of the IM which is the vacuum source, and another vacuum line goes to the charcoal canister.
EDIT: Most models of 4G Civic/CRX's have the EVAP mounted to the firewall. The plug right below the one you circled is the firewall mounted MAP sensor (I think). Most newer cars/engines will have the EVAP purge solenoid mounted to the IM, and MAP mounted on top of the TB.

I'm not sure what the other pic is though.

I wasn't replying to you, I was answering his question about the plug. I'm trying to find out right now what the other thing in the other pic is.

After all the wiring done on the B20 there are those 2 plugs that I don't have a spot for. Without the EVAP purge solenoid hooked up will it be OK?

ic, ok i still want to see a pic of where that vacume line runs because it may help in identifying the part

I'm moving the wall mounted MAP sensor to the throttle body but I want to remove that whole unit mounted on the wall therefore I'll have that extra EVAP plug.

here is the plug on the d16 engine

and here is the wiring done on the b20. as you can see the b18 IM doesn't have that part on the back of the manifold so i have no where to plug this plug into.

You should be able to use either EVAP purge solenoid. I think that as long as you have the EVAP purge solenoid plugged into the vacuum source in the IM, the charcoal canister, and you have your 2P conector hooked up to your engine harness you'll be fine. I was gonna use a stock GSR purge solenoid, but because I have a Skunk2 IM and nowhere to mount the EVAP on the IM, I may be using stock CRX firewall EVAP instead.

Well, I did a bit of searching on the net, and I cant find a good diagram of a JDM B20B IM. Driven is probably right, and it is the EVAP purge locationd for JDM B20B. I just cant be certain of it.
Maybe somebody in the hybrid forums would know?

The intake manifold i'm using is a B18A.
bump to see if anyone has more input on this

Fast idle valve. this is a obd-0 d16a6 intake manfiold (note the stamps above the FIV).</TD></TR></TABLE>
at work right now so i don't have a helms manual to look at but does a b18a IM not have a FIV? i can't find anything that will fit that plug.

You dont need the fast idle valve, you wont throw a code for it. The purge valve you can also get rid of unless you are in cali. and have to pass a smog test.
I only hooked up the vac lines up to that little canister when I did the swap and switched to a top mount MAP on the TB. I can unhook that wire and I wont get a code. I wouldnt worry about that black canister on the IM. I left that wire just chillin and Im not getting a code for it and my B20 swap is running great.
