I can start my hatch without pushing in the clutch.
So can i. I got a new clutch.
My hatch doesn't have the clutch interlock switch (i think that's what it's called)
What year is the hatch? I got the 88.

88 dx. yeah it cranks right up without pushing the clutch, i discovered today. My clutch feels about gone. Im planning on dropping a si motor but i may keep my dx tranny for a while, what do yall recommend as far as clutches go that are easy on the budget... I will need most of my money to go to my engine and my fuel system.

88 model year didnt have the clutch switch from what i've heard. 89+ did.
Now, if you mean you can have the car in gear and start it without pushing the clutch in, then you've got a bigger problem
jadugartir: exedy clutches are a good bang for the buck. I got one for my gsr for 177 shipped off ebay. feels very nice.

I ride an exedy clutch and I love it. Not too expensive, usually they are cheap on ebay. The new clutch install isn't hard at all. Just use a manual and you'll be fine! It's just all about getting that friggin tranny out, after that it's a cake walk! The first thing I EVER did to a honda was tranny and clutch swap. Now it's only been a year and I built my first motor and it runs perfect. Good luck and enjoy

Ding Ding Ding. We have a couple of winners. I just didn't want to quote them all. No neutral safety switch rules.
