Default Want it to BREATHE, but stay street legal in CA

Thanks for all the replies to my header post, great stuff. Now the next step...

I'm looking to improve the performance of my "daily driver" ('96 Civic EX Sedan) and I want to make sure that I can stay street legal in CA.

1) Would it be a waste to add a new exhaust system & header and leave in the stock cat. converter? Any recommedations? for cat-back exhaust system? Obviously, the sound of the car is gonna change, but I'm really not looking to make this roar.
2) Would I pass smog with a "High Flow" after market CC? If so, any recommendations?
3) If I throw on an AEM cold-air intake, will I have any trouble passing smog in CA?

Many thanks for any help!

-Kev

I don't think the smog technicians will even smog your car unless you get it referee'd and get some sticker to show what you have is legal.

You want the best bang for your smog legal buck. Here it is right here and this is the best price I've ever seen on it. This guy is a good seller also. He is in norcal if you are local....Your car will breathe like air was being forced down its throat
