With an engine Hoist it's easy just a bolt here, a bolt there and your done. Shouldn't take you no more then 1 1/2" if it's a ZC.
Without an engine Hoist it will take you a good time, gotta take piece by piece off till you get a bare block. I did this and it's a PITB.
Oh yeah get some pizza and get your friends to help then it's like changing a tire man.
Good luck

eh, it usually takes me and my dad about 4 hours - doing everything VERY carefully. we are lucky enough to have an enormous "I" beam transversing our garage, so we have a little hoist that is tied around the beam.
my best advice for any type of car work is to get the appropriate equipment if you can afford it. it'll make things SO much easier!!!
but even a noob to engine pulling can do it in a few hours

I know you from race pa which I am a member of. And from a beaver run event a while ago. the event where there were 3 matta motors cars 2 crx's and civic. Matta's civic. Kents crx. and my crx. all white. I happened to be in DM that day.
I am also Rostr02 on RPA.
I have been preparing my car for a rear disc and Kw coilovers which will go on tonight down matta shop.
You could stop down and help at Mattamotors if you want too
. bought 6 or 7pm
OK this is really off topic but dont want to seem like a stalker

its not hard, invest in some air tools, if not some really durable hand tools and good wrenches and a breaker bar....gear wrenches will become your friend!

You'd have to be a super freak to be able to do it that fast. I did take my ZC out in a little over an hour though, however the radiator was already out and so was the header but that shouldn't have taken that much more extra time. I had the car on a lift and just dropped the engine out of the bottom. Can't say I would ever go that route again because the intake manifold gets stuck easily. Cherry picker is the best method if you ask me, less breakage.

my buddy and i yanked my b16a out in 45 minutes. pulled into garage at 7:00 and at 7:45 had motor laying on the floor. but taking the motor out isnt hard at all. putting it in takes alittle more time.
Took me 2 hours to pull mine out by myself....
Must have waisted a good hour of that trying to find my punch for the bitch pin hehehe
