Default headlight films?

Guys, my 97 sh has this slightly yellowish film looking like thing on my headlights and they seem to be melting or peeling... needless to say... IT'S UGLY! looks like dry peeling skin. but it's not peeling on the entire unit... mostly at the top of the glass and goes down. IS IT A FILM? WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT?

you can take a strong mag wheel or aluminum wheel polish, take the polish to your lights, rubbing in circular motions, the wipe it off after it hazes up ( this might take a few steps to remove the yellow haze ), finish the process with a few coats of high gloss car polish-"wax on, wax off"...

My brother had this problem on his Eclipse.... damn mitsu's Anyway, like the guy said above, wheel wax will take care of it real quick. Mother's wax seems to work the best.

or wet sand and buff it with 1500 or 2000 grit then keep it waxed
